Abram Wesley (Wess) Burdick (1829-1874). Wess is the son of Reed Burdick, #1243 on page 503 of Nellie Johnson’s tome.

Leander Wakefield (father of Sarah, wife of Seth Burdick).*** A close look at the inside of the rims shows that the tires are pneumatic. Ergo, the picture is post 1888.

On the left is Arrington Wakefield, with whom is  believed to be Leander Wakefield, his brother. *** Leander is my g-g-grandfather.

This wonderful picture is of my great-grandmother, Sarah (Wakefield) Burdick with sons Ansel, Alvin, and Asa. Alvin and Asa were born in the house. Picture circa 1890.****

Lois (Sturtevant) Wakefield (1839-1876), first wife of Leander Wakefield and mother of seven, including Sarah (Wakefield) Burdick. Lois is my g-g-grandmother.***

Asa Burdick 1888-1974, and wife, Mabel (De Forest) Burdick 1890-1968. Asa is one of Ansel’s three younger brothers.

** Eleanor Ticknor, Mary Jane's descendant contributed the two pictures. Abram Wesley, Adelia, and Mary Jane are children of Reed Burdick. Reed is number 1243, p. 503, in Nellie Johnson’s book, The Descendants of Robert Burdick of Rhode Island. Further information is being sought about Adelia and Mary Jane.
